Learning chinese

Hi I am looking for advice on the best place to start learning chinese.

I have family members that are fluent in Japanese, but I believe Chinese is now the language that any serious international business person should learn.

I have gathered that Mandarin is the language of business in China.

Any advice will be helpful, thanks!
